MT. RAINIER

Mt. Rainier, with an elevation of 14,410 feet, is Washington state's highest and most majestic peak and one of which the citizens are most proud. As a volcanic mountain located just a scant 50-60 miles southeast of Seattle, it also has the potential to be the most dangerous...even more so than St. Helens. Rainer last erupted in 1840 but a major eruption has not ocurred in thousands of years.

These pictures are from different locations around the mountain.
