marketing

This page is dedicated to the TTU Marketing club!
I basically just wanted to show all the pictures I took down
in New Orleans, and give a little insight to the trip!
The Marketing club is very active and we get to go
down to New Orleans again this April...Hope to
see you there!

This picture was taken at Bubba Gump's...
We had just told Dr. Mann a joke that purposely
didn't make any sense...

This is Tommy and Frank representing
Tech at the Convention... Don't ask...

Dr. Mann and Jamie busting a groove in the Square...

My Roomies... Yes I am a lucky boy...
...heheh...

This was taken at Storyville...I love this place...

This is the"Dog Man"... He was really funny and actually barked quite a bit!!

This picture was taken after the
Awards ceremony.  I think this is all of us...?

My New Orleans "Journal"...

Well if you didn't know already, I got to New Orleans in April with the Tech Marketing Club for the A.M.A. Conference!!!   It was the the most fun I think I've ever had!   There were 27 students that got to go and our "Advisor" Dr. Karl Mann (one of the heads of the Marketing Program) was the chaperone for the trip...

We left on Wednesday evening from the Nashville Airport (yes we FLEW!!!) around 8:30pm (our flight was a little late...) and I and two of my roommates, Jamie and Melissa,  had a Screwdriver...   Let the drinking begin...   These things were STOUT and all three of us were a little loopy by the time we got down to New Orleans.   The air conditioning in the airport must have been broken because it was about 100 degrees in there and I think that I lost three pounds just sitting there waiting for the Shuttle to the Hotel...   We stayed at the Marriot in downtown New Orleans and we were one minute walking distance from our daily and nightly destination...   Bourbon Street!!!   I think that we were on Bourbon Street about 80 percent of the time down there but lets get back to where I left off...   We got to the Hotel and checked in and the first place we went was to Bally's! Bally's is a Boat Casino and we got there around 1 am and
stayed until around 4 am! I actually won
about $80 bucks!!! I was very happy!!!

The next two days we had to spend going to the Conferences and Luncheons, but at night time we were on Bourbon Street... We went to just about every club/bar/pub/restaurant that was down there and we were all enjoying the "Hurricane's", Dollar Drafts, and frozen drinks that we could find!!! I think that my favorite place down there has to have been "Storyville... This place was AWESOME... It was a REAL Blues/R&B/Jazz club and we were the youngest ones in there but I tell you what, I've never heard music that good before... After a beer and a "Sex on the Beach" we all got out on the Dance floor and showed everybody what FUN is... The Band LOVED us...The lead singers kept dedicating the songs to us and they came down and danced with us! The Female lead singer was GREAT! She was an older, short Black woman with BLONDE braided hair and she came down and sang directly to me from about 3 inches away and I'm just dancing  and laughing!! It was the most fun of the whole trip!!!

We were the school to know down there,  and all the other schools loved us! I think it might have something to do with how much we drank!!! (Sorry MOM!!! hehehe) Anyway, I had the Time of my life down  there and I really hope that everybody get's the chance to  make it down there sometime...
