ICT only become a core subject since 1998, already being seen by some as the 'big four': eng, maths, sci, ICT. V new subject to be fitting into the curriculum.

Every school supposed to be getting 1hr discrete ICT a week. 


KS3 Nat Stat:
There are 5 strands: English, maths, science, ICT and other foundation subjects

Throught keystage 3 pupils will become increasingly indepenedant, discerning users of ICT.
