| BRUSHING | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Below are some instructions for brushing that may come in handy. This method of brushing is called the BASS method. It is widely accepted as an effective method for bacterial plaque removal which can cause tooth decay (cavities), halitosis (bad breath) and gingivitis (gum disease). Of course each person's mouth is unique, just like a fingerprint, so I recommend consulting with your Dental Hygienist to see which method suits your needs best. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| * Remember to replace your toothbrush every 3-4 months. Researchers have shown that thousands of microbes grow on tootbrush bristles and handles. Most are harmless, but others can cause cold and flu viruses, the herpes virus that causes cold sores, and bacteria that can cause periodontal infections. -ADHA |
