First Round:
Rogers (16-10-0, #4 seed) defeated Meadow Creek Christian (4-21-0, #13 seed) 8-1.
Rogers scored six times in the second period to make the difference.

Richfield (12-12-2, #5 seed) defeated Waconia (9-17-0, #12 seed) 5-2  eng.
The teams were knotted 2-2 midway through the first period before senior forward Andrew Johnson of Richfield tallied, at 12:05, on his way to a natural hat trick.  Johnson also scored midway through the second period and tacked on an empty net goal.

For Richfield, Johnson had 3 goals.
For Waconia, junior forwards Pete Brettingen and Jason Elasky each had 1 goal.

Providence Academy (12-13-2, #11 seed) upset St. Michael-Albertville (19-7-1, #6 seed) 3-2 in two overtimes.
The teams were tied 2-2 after two; and. neither team could break the deadlock in the third period and the first overtime.  In the second overtime, St. Michael-Albertville picked up a penalty at 4:54.  On the power play, freshman defenseman Marshall Klitzke of Providence Academy netted the game-winner at 5:03.

Blake (15-11-0, #7 seed) defeated Holy Family Catholic (8-17-0, #10 seed) 4-3.
Blake dominated the game; however, the teams were tied, 3-3, after two periods and through most of the third.  Late in the third period, sophomore forward Donald Chute notched a goal, at 15:58, that stood up as the game-winner.

For Blake, sophomore forward Ryan Bullock had 2 goals and Chute had 1 goal, 1 assist.
For Holy Family Catholic, senior forward Brenden Hamrick had 1 goal, 1 assist.

Delano/Rockford (13-11-2, #8 seed) defeated St. Louis Park (9-17-0, #9 seed) 5-3.

St. Louis Park carried the play; but, the Delano/Rockford defense led by junior goalie Jason Dzurik played strong and propelled the Tigers to a 4-1 margin after two periods.  The Orioles tried to come back in the third period and inched to within 4-3 when senior defenseman Jake Albersheim-Carter scored at 16:00.  St. Louis Park pulled their goalie in the final minute; however, senior forward Seth Klason of the Tigers got an empty net tally at 16:32.

For Delano/Rockford, junior forward Kirk Grangroth had 2 goals, Klason had 1 goal, 1 assist, and sophomore forward  Tyler Heinonen and senior forward Alex Meyer each had 2 assists.
For St. Louis Park, senior forward Marcus Voss had 2 assists.

Quarterfinals:
Breck (22-3-1, #1 seed) defeated Delano/Rockford (13-12-2, #8 seed) 6-1
Breck led 3-1 after two periods before recording three goals in the third period.

Orono (16-10-0, #2 seed) defeated Blake (15-12-0, #7 seed) 4-3 in overtime.
This game was close all the way.  Blake led 3-2 after two periods; but, a goal from senior forward Ben Persian of Orono tied the contest, 3-3, at 9:35 of the third period.  In overtime, Miles Knutsen of the Spartans notched the game-winner at 3:28.

For Orono, Persian, sophomore forward Ross Luedtke, and junior defenseman Ted Ylitalo each had 1 goal, 1 assist.
For Blake, senior defenseman Blake Doerring and sophomore forwards George Ordway and Donald Chute each had 1 goal.

Mound-Westonka (16-10-0, #3 seed) defeated Providence Academy (12-14-2, #11 seed) 4-3 in two overtimes.

Mound-Westonka looked to be in control when junior forward Colin Mayer tallied at 10:57 of the third period to give the White Hawks a 3-1 edge; however, Providence Academy responded with goals from sophomore forwards Mitchell Roux, at 12:36, and John Ketola, at 13:59, that evened the contest at 3-3.  There was no scoring in the first overtime; but, early in the second overtime, junior defenseman Nick Kuehl of Mound-Westonka knocked in the game-winner at 2:02.

For Mound-Westonka, Kuehl had 2 goals, Mayer had 1 goal, 1 assist, and senior forward Riley Horgan had 2 assists.

Rogers (17-10-0, #4 seed) defeated Richfield (12-13-2, #5 seed) 9-5.
In a wild first period that featured 33 shots on net and 7 goals, Rogers came out with a 4-3 lead.  The Royals extended their cushion to 6-4 at the end of two and tacked on three tallies in the third period.

For Rogers, senior forwards Josh Provo and Blake Bistodeau each had 1 goal, 2 assists, senior defenseman David Audette had 3 assists, and junior defenseman Erick Moening had 2 goals.
For Richfield, senior forward Dusty Peterson had 2 goals, 1 assist and senior forward Bryan Scanlon had 1 goal, 1 assist.

Semifinals:
Breck (23-3-1, #1 seed) defeated Rogers (17-11-0, #4 seed) 7-3  2eng.
Breck held a slim 3-2 edge after one period; but, the Mustangs tallied two goals in each of the final two periods to pull away.

For Breck, senior forward Joe Rehkamp had 2 goals, 1 assist, junior forward Mike Morin had 1 goal, 2 assists, and frershman forward Nate Traina had 1 goal, 1 assist.
For Rogers, senior forwards Josh Provo and Blake Bistodeau each had 1 goal, 1 assist and sophomore defenseman Chad Miller had 2 assists.

Mound-Westonka (17-10-0, #3 seed) defeated Orono (16-11-0, #2 seed) 6-3.
Mound-Westonka outscored Orono 3-1 in the first period; then, notched two goals in the first half of the second period to pull into an insurmountable 5-1 lead.

For Mound-Westonka, senior forward Riley Horgan had 2 goals, 2 assists and junior forward Ben Curti had 2 goals, 1 assist.
For Orono, senior forward Chris Hanson had 3 assists and senior forward Ben Persian had 2 goals.
Goalies:  Mound-Westonka - senior Dan Swanson, Orono - junior John Gabos.


Final:
Breck (24-3-1, #1 seed) defeated Mound-Westonka (17-11-0, #3 seed) 7-2.
Breck dominated the action; but, Mound-Westonka hung close through one period as the teams were tied, 2-2, after one.  The Mustangs pulled away with two tallies in the second period and three in the third.

1
