Owatonna (18-7-0, #2 seed), finished third in the Big Nine Conference, defeated Rochester Century twice and split with Rochester Mayo in conference play, did not play Lakeville North or Lakeville South. Lakeville North (6-16-3, #3 seed), finished ninth in the Lake Conference, lost to Lakeville South twice in conference play, defeated Rochester Mayo, tied Rochester Century. Section 2AA Edina (23-2-0, #1 seed), defending Section 6AA champion, finished first in the Classic Lake Conference, finished fifth in the Schwan Cup Silver Division, only losses on the season were to Benilde-St. Margaret�s (in the Schwan Cup) and Minnetonka (last game of the regular season), defeated Burnsville 4-3 in overtime in December, did not play Bloomington Jefferson or Academy Of Holy Angels during the regular season. Burnsville (20-5-0, #2 seed), defending Section 5AA champion, finished first the Lake Conference, lost to Edina, finished fifth in the Schwan Cup Bronze Division, defeated Bloomington Jefferson twice in conference play, did not play Academy Of Holy Angels. Section 6AA Minnetonka (22-3-0, #1 seed), finished second in the Classic Lake Conference, finished first in the Schwan Cup Gold Division by defeating Hill-Murray 4-1, defeated Benilde-St. Margaret�s and Eden Prairie during the regular season, split with Hopkins in conference play. Also split with Edina and defeated Rosemount, Academy Of Holy Angels, Duluth East, Centennial, Duluth Marshall, and St. Thomas Academy. Other loss on the season was to Eastview 3-1. Benilde-St. Margaret�s (22-3-0, #2 seed), finished first in the North Suburban Conference, finished second to St. Thomas Acadeemy in the Schwan Cup Silver Division, only other losses were to Hill-Murray, 3-1, and Minnetonka, 3-2, did not play Eden Prairie or Champlin Park during the regular season. Eden Prairie (17-6-2, #3 seed), finished second in the Classic Lake Conference, lost to Minnetonka during the regular season, did not play Eden Prairie or Hopkins. Anoka (19-6-0, #2 seed), finished tied for first in the Northwest Suburban Conference, finished fifth in the South St. Paul Premier, lost to Duluth East, 4-0, and defeated Grand Rapids during the regular season, did not play Cloquet/Esko/Carlton. Section 8AA Roseau (25-0-0, #1 seed), defending Section 8AA and State Champion, finished first in the Mariucci Conference, finished first in the Roseau Tournament, defeated Moorhead twice in conference play, defeated Brainerd and Buffalo during the regular season, hardest team to score against in the state with 1.00 GAA including ten shutouts. Top players � junior/senior defenseman Aaron Ness, senior forwards Ben Nelson and Dustin Moser, junior forward Tyler Landman, and junior goalie Mike Lee. Moorhead (12-9-3, #2 seed), finished fourth in the MariuicciConference, finished fifth in the Schwan Cup Gold Division, lost to Roseau twice in conference play, defeated and tied Brainer and defeated Buffalo during the regular season.
