Quarterfinals: 02/26/2004
Bismarck (15-10-0, West #1) defeated Grafton-Park River (16-9-0, East #4) 2-1 in overtime.
Fargo South (17-7-1, East #2) defeated Bismarck Century (20-5-0, West #3) 6-1.
The teams were tied 1-1 after the first period and through most of the second period.  Fargo South took command with two goals in :52 late in the second period.  Senior forward Ryan Nelson scored at 13:19 and senior forward Adam Kankelfritz followed with another tally at 14:11.  The Bruins tacked on three goals in the third period.  Fargo South outshot Bismarck Century 29-17.  For Fargo South, senior forward Justin Mauch had 1 goal, 2 assists, sophomore foward Paul Weisgarber had 3 assists, and Nelson and Kankelfritz each had 2 goals.  For Bismarck Century, senior forward Brandon Mayer had 1 goal.  Goalies:  Fargo South - junior Ben McLean, Bismarck Century - senior Theo Stoller and senior Dustin Backman (late in third period).
Grand Forks Red River (18-7-0, East #3) shutout Hazen-Beulah (16-9-0, West #2) 4-0.
Grand Forks Central (21-3-1, East #1) defeated Minot (13-11-0, West #4) 4-2.

Consolation Semifinals:
Bismarck Century (21-5-0, West #3) defeated Grafton-Park River (16-10-0, East #4) 4-3.
Bismarck Century scored three goals in the third period for a come-from-behind victory.  Shots were even at 19-19.  For Bismarck Century, senior forward Alan Jechort had 3 assists and junior forward Mike Bosch had 2 goals, 1 assist.  For Grafton-Park River, junior defenseman Chris Dahl had 1 goal, 1 assist.  Goalies:  Bismarck Century - senior Dustin Backman, Grafton-Park River, senior Jon Almen.
Minot (14-11-0, West #4) shutout Hazen-Beulah (16-10-0, West #2) 6-0.
Minot led 2-0 after one period and 5-0 after two.  Minot outshot Hazen-Beulah 25-24.  For Minot, sophomore forward Jordan Willert had 2 goals, 1 assist and sophomore forward Andy Dittus had 1 goal, 1 assist.  Goalies:  Minot - senior Ty Gallant and junior Tyler Stahl (last half of third period), Hazen-Beulah - senior Kyle Rosenau (first and second periods) and Alex Hermes (third period).

Semifinals:

Fargo South (18-7-1, East #2) defeated Bismarck (15-11-0, West #1) 2-1.
Junior forward Tyler Dalbey of Fargo South scored early in the first period on a wrist shot after intercepting a clearing attempt, and senior defenseman Ross Miller of the Bruins scored early in the second period on a slap shot from the circle giving Fargo South a 2-0 lead after two.  The Bruins controlled the first two periods, outshooting Bismarck 27-8.  Only :40 into the third period, senior forward Dan Anderson of Bismarck tallied on a breakaway to cut the margin to 2-1.  The Fargo South defense played tough for the rest of the third period, limiting the Demon's chances.  In the final minute, the Bruins kept the puck in the Bismarck zone, keeping the Demons from pulling their goalie.  Fargo South outshot Bismarck 35-14.  For Fargo South, Dalbey and Miller each had 1 goal.  For Bismarck, Anderson had 1 goal.  Goalies:  Fargo South - junior Ben McLean, Bismarck - senior Mychael Ruud. 
Grand Forks Central (22-3-1, East #1) defeated Grand Forks Red River (18-8-0, East #3) 3-2
in two overtimes.
Grand Forks Central dominated the first period, outshooting Grand Forks Red River 14-2.  The Knights quickly opened up a 2-0 lead only 2:27 into the game on goals from junior forward Jake Stadstad and senior defenseman Pat Lindgren.  Grand Forks Central also outshot the Roughriders 8-3 in the second period, but Red River scored on one of their shots while holding the Knights scoreless.  Sophomore forward David Spies of Grand Forks Red River netted a goal on a backhander at 3:25 as the Roughriders trailed 2-1 after two.  Spies scored his second goal of the game when his shot deflect off a Grand Forks Central defenseman, at 5:47 of the third period, to tie the contest, 2-2.  The third period was more even with the Knights outshooting Grand Forks Red River only 8-7.  The Roughriders came on in the first overtime to outshoot Grand Forks Central 7-3.  In the second overtime, Lindgren fired a long, 80 foot slap shot, from outside the blue line, on net, and the puck evaded Roughrider senior goalie Brett Gilbraith for the gamewinner at 2:20.  Grand Forks Central outshot Grand Forks Red River 35-18.  For Grand Forks Central, Lindgren had 2 goals.  For Grand Forks Red River, Spies had 2 goals and juniord forward Derek Kuntz had 2 assists.  Goalies:  Grand Forks Central - senior Tony Meyer, Grand Forks Red River - Gilbraith.

Consolation Final:
Bismarck Century (22-5-0, West #3) defeated Minot (14-12-0, West #4) 2-1.

Third Place Game:
Grand Forks Red River (19-8-0, East #3) shutout Bismarck (15-12-0, West #1) 3-0.

Final:

Grand Forks Central (23-3-1, East #1) defeated Fargo South (18-8-1, East #2) 3-2.

Grand Forks Central scored two goals in :12 in the final minute of play to cap a wild last three minutes and pull out a 3-2 victory.  Fargo South led 2-1 after the first period and maintained that advantage through a scoreless second period.  In the third period, the Bruins protected their lead until the final minute.  At 12:09, Fargo South picked up a penalty, but the Bruins were able to hold off the Knights.  Grand Forks Central pulled their goalie, at 13:45, near the end of the penalty, to attack 6-on-4 for :24.  Seconds after the penalty expired, at 14:13, senior defenseman Pat Lindgren of Grand Forks Central fired a wrist shot from the point through traffic that tied the game, 2-2.  At 14:25, senior forward Matt Moreland drilled a high shot from the top of the left circle for the gamewinner.  Shots were even at 23-23.  For Grand Forks Central, Moreland had 2 goals, Lindgren had 1 goal, 1 assist, and senior forward Jordan McIntyre had 2 assists.  For Fargo South, senior forward Adam Kankelfritz and senior defenseman Luke Brehmer each had 1 goal.  Goalies:  Grand Forks Central - senior Tony Meyer, Fargo South - junior Ben McLean
