2006-2007 MASSACHUSETTS STATE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT

Division 1A (Super 8 Class)

Playoff Format:
Shootouts are used after one eight minute overtime.
Preliminary Round. Seeds #7-#10 are matched up to eliminate two teams with the two winners advancing to the Division 1A Tournament and the two losers going to the Division 1 Tournament.
Three Rounds of Round Robin play for two brackets of four teams each. The top two teams in each bracket move on to the semifinals.

Boston College High was in the Final for the eighth time in nine years, missing 2005, and winning two Finals (2002 and 2006).
Boston College High (19-4-2, #3 seed) defeated Weymouth (23-2-0, #5 seed) 6-1.
Weymouth scored the only goal of the first period to take a 1-0 lead; however, Boston College High came back with three goals in each of the final two periods. For Boston College High, senior defenseman Mike Vasilchuk, senior Bryan Kelly, senior foward Bob Stenbeck, Luke Heller, junior forward Brian Sullivan, and senior forward Jeff Sullivan each had 1 goal. For Weymouth, Mike Wilson had 1 goal. Goalies: Boston College High - junior Joe Cannata, Weymouth - sophomore Chris Daugherty.
