Albert Lea 3 Rochester Lourdes 2

Rochester Lourdes carried the play; however, junior goalie John Wrolson of Albert Lea played solid in net.  The teams were tied, 2-2, after two periods.  In the third period, senior forward Tyler Prihoda of the Tigers chalked up a goal, at 5:25, to give Albert Lea a 2-1 edge.  That score held for almost ten minutes until junior defenseman Casey Marka of the Tigers tallied giving the Tigers a 3-1 advantage.  Rochester Lourdes retaliated, :40 later, when senior forward Cole Peterson scored to close the margin to 3-2; but, that's as close as the Eagles would get.

Bloomington Jefferson 4 Moorhead 3  OT

Bloomington Jefferson led 2-1 after two periods.  In the third period, Moorhead got two early power play goals from senior forward Trent Johnson to pull into a 3-2 lead.  At 13:46, junior defenseman Jeff Pauluk of Jaguars logged a power play tally to knot the contest, 3-3.  At the end of regulation, the Spuds picked up a two penalties that gave Bloomington Jefferson a 5-on-3 advantage in overtime. At 1:20 of overtime, junior defenseman Joe Faust of the Jaguars drove home the game-winner on the power play to keep Bloomington Jefferson unbeaten.

Duluth East dominated the play while senior goalie Matt Cooper needed only 13 saves for the shutout.

Eden Prairie 7 Burnsville 6  OT

Eden Prairie led 6-3 early in the third period before senior forward Zach May of Burnsville scored a pure hat trick to even the game, 6-6, at 14:32.  In overtime, sophomore forward Kyle Rau recorded his fourth goal of the contest, at 1:04, for the game-winner.

For Eden Prairie, Rau had 4 goals, 1 assist and junior forward Mitch Rogge had 1 goal, 2 assists.
For Burnsville, May had 3 goals, 3 assists and senior forward Zach King had 2 goals, 2 assists.

Elk River/Zimmerman 5 Blaine 3  eng
12-7-1                             18-2-1
Elk River/Zimmerman scored twice in the first period and twice in the second to lead 4-1 midway through the second period.  Blaine came back in the third period and pared the margin down to 4-3 with back-to-back goals at 11:00 and 11:19.  The Elks held on until the final minute when the Bengals pulled their goalie; however, junior forward Chad Hennum of Elk River/Zimmerman hit the empty net, at 16:53, to finish the scoring.

For Elk River/Zimmerman, Hennum had 3 goals and junior forward Ben Jaremko had 1 goal, 1 assist.
For Blaine, senior forward Tyler Turnquist, junior forward Eric Scheid, and senior defenseman Ryan Brockway each had 1 goal.

Hill-Murray 3 St. Thomas Academy 0

Hill-Murray garnered a goal in the first period and two in the third while sophomore Tim Shaughnessy turned all St. Thomas Academy shots.

For Hill-Murray, junior forwards Willie Faust and David Bruchu along with sophomore defenseman JD Cotroneo each had 1 goal.

Hopkins 2 Minnetonka 1  OT
13-7-1       15-6-0
Junior forward Archie Skalbeck of Hopkins netted the lone goal of the first period.  There was no scoring in the second period with the Royals having a slight advantage due to four penalties on Minnetonka in the period versus one against Hopkins.  In the third period, the Skippers forced the action a bit more; but, Hopkins held their 1-0 edge through most of the period.  Finally, at 11:05,  sophomore forward Derek Frawley of Minnetonka scored to tie the game, 1-1.  In overtime, the Royals picked up a penalty, at 0:52, but kept the Skippers off the scoreboard.  Hopkins was whistled for another penalty, at 2:51; however, the man-advantage was evened out when Minnetonka got a slashing call, at 3:27.  There was 4-on-4 play for only :20 as freshman forward Travis Boyd of the Royals notched the game-winner at 3:47.

For Minnetonka, Frawley had 1 goal.

Maple Grove 5 Centennial 2

Maple Grove pulled out to a 3-0 margin midway through the second period.  The Crimson led 4-2 entering the final minute of regulation but picked up a penalty that gave Centennial an advantage; however, senior forward Josh Gross of Maple Grove notced a shorthanded goal that put the game away.

For Maple Grove, sophomore forward Dan Carlson had 2 goals and junior forward Alec Horton ahd senior forward Isaac Sinz each had 2 assists.
For Centennial, senior forwards Willie Hess and Dave Schreiner had 1 goal.
