Centennial scored a goal in the third period and pulled their goalie with about a minute and a half remaining. Junior defenseman Brett Stern of the Cougars tallied with the extra attacker at 16:36; but, that's as close as Centennial would get. Centennial outshot White Bear Lake 32-23. For White Bear Lake, senior forward Sam Swanson had 2 goals, 1 assist, senior forward Mike Slator had 3 assists, and sophomore forward Brandon Wahlin had 2 goals. Moorhead tried to comeback in the third period; however, junior goalie John Ankeny of the Hornets kicked out 12 shots to preserve the shutout before senior forward Connor Gaarder tacked on an empty net goal. Schwan Cup - Silver Division Quarterfinals Cretin-Derham Hall 10 Champlin Park 3 7-2-0 2-5-0 Cretin-Derham Hall led 3-0 after one period and 7-0 after two. The Raiders outshot Champlin Park 37-19. At 13:33, junior forward Mike Morin of Breck notched a goal to give the Mustangs a 3-2 edge. It stayed that way until the Greyhounds pulled their goalie in the final minute. At 16:48, junior forward Tyson Fulton of Breck found the empty net that gave the Mustangs the victory. Duluth East outshot Breck 40-23. South St. Paul Premier Tournament Final South St. Paul 4 Woodbury 4 OT (tie) Woodbury carried the play for the first two periods; however, South St. Paul scored the first four goals of the game to take a 4-0 lead near the end of the second period. Woodbury got on the board with a tally from junior defenseman Andrew Herbert with one second left in the second period. In the third period, the Royals notched two goals before the midway point of the period to make it a 4-3 contest. At 16:02, junior forward Max Gaede knocked in the tying goal to send the game to overtime. Shots were even, 4-4, in overtime. Woodbury won the shootout, 2-0. Woodbury outshot South St. Paul 48-28.
