My teacher in 2000-2001.
It's hard to believe, but this great musician taught accompanying class at the Gnessins Academy since 1966 without being allowed to enter the staff of the piano faculty. Only in 1999 he was given a couple of piano pupils, so now he can realize all his talent as a teacher of the solo pianists.
He gave me an absolute freedom in repertoire choice and never persecuted me for having another opinion on music I played. I was given a free choice to play anything I wanted at my graduation exam at the Gnessins Academy in 2001.
