A search of the 1871 Census reveals no trace of any Young family at 21, Hunter St., Glasgow. This was only 3 years before he married with the same address. No trace of the family in the 1881 Census. (As there is absolutely no trace of them in 1881, especially now that I have his duaghter's birth date and place, I think they went back to Ireland, possibly, maybe even for his father's funeral!) Alice was known as Grandma King most of her life as she remarried to Charlie King after her first husband died. All her chidren were born Yeo. Also there is no records on her as she was an orphan brought up in an orphanage, presumably in Invercargill as John Yeo met her in the street walking a dog so the family story goes.
He had 7 children, one of whom was named Thomas(Jnr) who had 14 children. This was not the Thomas in this line but his brother.
Had a bother named William Boxall also in Thames.
