Dain Denny Lawrence is two
years and six months old. He lives in Sharjah, the
UAE, with his parents. His father works with a Public Relations Consultancy
in Dain’s interests are varied and include listening to melodious music
and watching Tom & Jerry cartoons. What, however, sets apart Dain is his intense interest in automobiles. The UAE is one of the
fastest-growing automobile markets, estimated at US$4.9 billion, and
virtually every automobile under the sun plies on the roads of Inspired, perhaps, by the sheer
abundance of a variety of cars, Dain regularly and
avidly watches Gear One Channel, one that is focused on the automobile
industry. Over the months, Dain has developed an exceptional skill. He can identify the emblem/logo of any car
at any given time. At this young age, he can identify the emblems of at least
75 cars with absolute confidence… and guess what, he is always spot on! Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac,
Chevrolet, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Mercedes, Porsche – give him a logo, and Dain will identify it with the ease of a veteran
automobile enthusiast. Dain’s enthusiasm for cars was featured by Manorama
News on their ‘Gulf This Week’ programme in December, 2007. For the show,
he identified several cars when their emblems were shown to him. Dain’s dream car is the HUMMER.
For a boy who is still very much a child – sweet and naughty - his
interests show a certain inspired career-choice already. Probably one day he will make his
