My thoughts on religion

(in the simplest of terms and right to the point)

God sent his only begotten son, Jesus to us, which was his greatest gift. Right away, some people knew he was special, and as he grew up and taught many truths, and performed great miracles, the true believers of the word realised that he truthfully was the son of God, the savior. He proved there is no greater love, when he made the ultimate sacrifice, and took up the cross, and died for us, a world full of sinners, so that we would be forgiven. Jesus then fulfilled prophesy, and proved once and for all that he is the Son of God, when he rose from the dead. This is all still relevant today, as Jesus died for not only those alive then, but all of us to come after as well, and someday he will return to Earth a final time, to take those of us walking in his path to eternal glory. We need to put aside our technological conveniences, and remember a Jewish carpenter, who lived long ago. How can we live a lifestyle now, that will lead us to the promise land of tomorrow? First of all, we must read, believe, and live by the word of God. We must give our lives over to God, and make him the Lord of our lives, and accept Jesus as our personal Savior. We must beg forgiveness for our sins, and live the life God wants us to lead. We must follow the rules and commandments God has set before us. We must be baptized in the Holy Spirit. We must kneel down and give God all the glory for everything, and go to him with all of our needs, fears, hopes, and dreams. God is always there for us, waiting for his children to come back to him.
