and Appointment to Broadcast Booth
Milwaukee, Wisc. September 25, 2006: Harold Cook, a principal of the All-City Sports Network and the Producer/Director of football and basketball games televised in Milwaukee on MATA Community Access Warner Cable Channel 14, on Thursday September 21, 2006 selected local announcer Dennis J. OBoyle to join the broadcast team in the Color Commentator/Analyst role.

OBoyle also rose to the occasion to solo and to serve as the Play-by-Play Announcer for games in the Milwaukee City Conference Friday and Saturday night. The game Friday featured Custer High School against Bradley Technical High School at South Stadium. Custer won the game, 38-30. Saturday night the Channel 14 crew was again under the lights at Pulaski Stadium for the big game with Bay View High School going up against Riverside University High School in the battle for first place in the City Conference won by Riverside, 26-12.

Although OBoyle and Cook both had starred in football and graduated from Solomon Juneau High School several years apart from each other during the 1970s, the two had not met until 2002 when OBoyle served as the official public address announcer for Riverside University High School, where Cook had come to broadcast a game. Recently Cook needed an additional announcer and remembered OBoyle for his gifted voice and creativity.

OBoyle has announced over 1,200 games throughout his career and has served in other capacities in business, community service, sports, television, and radio. He was given the nickname of The Voice of God in 2002 by top morning show hosts Weber & Dolan on News-Talk 1130 WISN AM. OBoyle prefers to be known only as The Voice if a nickname is used.

The All-City Sports Network broadcasts two City Conference games per week throughout the season. A goal of the All-City Sports Network is to feature each team from the Milwaukee Public Schools at least once per season. The next game will be Friday September 29 from Pulaski Stadium at 7:30 p.m. and features Bay View and Washington, followed on October 6 from Custer Stadium, Washington against Riverside. Each game is shown again Sunday at 9 p.m. on Channel 14 in Milwaukee. O'Boyle will also be utilized in the upcoming basketball season array of telecasts.
