| With the first Chinook the Army received, September 1961. Dad is on the bottom row, the fourth man from the left. With 15 others, he formed the initial group for testing jet-propelled helicopters and later served in the 11th Air Assualt Division (Test) at Ft. Benning, Georgia. From there he went on to serve three tours of duty in Vietnam. |
