Things I like about this Vacation Spot:

1. It is at the tropic of cancer, a very ideal Winter climate. The Pacific ocean provides nearby beaches for sun, surf, diving, whale watching. It is well known for surfing and boogie boarding.

2. The park is very secure and clean and you can walk to the very friendly town center to instantly socialize, shop, have lunch, visit Library, or just sit in the large city park and observe.

3. A huge benefit to me is the availability of Organic produce. Also, cafes in town feature great organic salads and veg juice is available.

4. Cabo San Lucas is a scenic 50 mile drive south. If you like "BIG", you will find Big night life, Big resorts, big ships, big stores, etc, etc.

5. La Paz is about an hour north and offers more economical restaurants and shopping. Have Margarita with lunch while you gaze at the large bay. Best of all, join a bay tour to view up close, dolphins, seals and the largest mammal on Earth, the Blue Whale

More Things to do in the area:

There are several beaches from "attended" to "deserted". Gray Whales are commonly seen all along coast. Check in at one of several high speed web spots. Well known, Robert Hall, leads a Dharma talk and meditation on Sunday.... follow that with breakfast at Cafe Todos Santos before heading to the beach. An evening walk around the residential area reveals another way of living.
