Kucinich's present New Age beliefs have a clear link to his racist and opportunistic past. He hasn't gotten over his "youthful racism" as you say. His racism has merely evolved. He's still pandering to the demographic he sees as the "forgotton white ethnic." Instead of putting out the blatantly racist literature he was spreading around in the 70s, he has alligned himself with creepy New Agers who have learned to tone down their racism and make it acceptable and marketable to well to do whites who are now ashamed of being white and imagine themselves to be "New Indians" in order to avoid painfull self-examination that would lead them to the conclusion that they must relinquish their white privilege in order for the utopian paradigm they dream of to evolve and transform the earth. You need to start thinking coherently about this problem. Saying that this was all in Denny's past is a huge cop out. His past shaped and molded his present outlook. He knows he needs black voters, so he throws them a few crumbs, but for the most part Kucinich is all about upper middle class white voters who consider themselves progressive and are eagar and willing to be fooled by his kitchy dog and pony show.
