| Here I am surveying the boat in the light of day. IThe boat had been sitting up for several years and has been stripped of most of its external hardware. Fortunately, the mast and boom are in tact as is most of the stanging rigging. Everything else is questionable. However, the hull and topsides are sound and the trailer is in excellent condition. All in all, this is a great project. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| THe hull has no major damage. The topside has some minor dings and some stress cracking, but nothing major and no softspots. The trailer is a tandem axle with an extendable tongue. At this time there is no winch but when the time comes all that will be remedied. The hull number of this boat is 671 and the serial number indicates that it was built in 1975. All in all the boat is in good shape for her years and her absence of care. |

| THe building in the background is my shop which is on the back corner of my home. Later this afternoon, the boat goes in front of the shop where the strip down will commence. | With the boat and trailer parked securely in front of my shop, we began the process of evaluating her condition. The following photos are a documentary log of what we found as we started removing the loose equipment. At this point, we have not physically removed any equipment from the hull. The only thing that has been taken off the boat are the cushions, a tarp that was stowed below, and the hatch. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
