Evaluation

The project will be worth 360 total points (18 hours), to be earned as follows:

1. Planning and Design: 40 points

· Did you complete your presentation outline and design sheets?

· Did you use class and computer lab time productively?

2. Slideshow

· Slide design: 70 points

· How easy is it to read and understand the information in your slide?

· Did you present a good summary of the information, or did you just copy your sources word-for-word onto the slide?

· Did you use any visual aids? Were they appropriate and helpful?

· How creative is the design of the slide?

· Script: 30 points

· How well does your script add to the information summarized on the slide?

· How accurate is the information in your script?

· Did you present the information in your own words, or did you just copy the textbook word-for-word?

· Overall content: 30 points

· Did you present all the pertinent information from your topic?

· Did you use proper language and grammar?

· Quiz: 20 points

· Are the questions you asked important?

· Do they accurately check for understanding in your classmates?

3. Oral Presentation

· Preparation: 50 points

· Did you put any effort into your presentation?

· Did you learn the information well enough to teach it to your classmates?

· Vocal quality: 40 points

· Did you present the information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner?

· Did you speak clearly enough, so that your classmates could take notes?

4. Note-Taking: 80 points

· Did you pay attention to your classmates’ presentations?

· Did you take notes and answer the quiz questions?
