Essential Personal WebPage Elements

The Home Page
Your Home Page is like your calling card to the world. It sets the tone for your whole site
as it would ordinarily be the first page that a visitor would see. It stands to reason that you
would want this site to be the most accessible of all your pages.

It defines the color scheme, navigational style, and overall design theme that you want to
project. It usually includes content information about who you are, how to contact you, a
clear definition of what your site is all about, links to other pages and other sites. These
plus a balance of efficiency and download speed makes the home page one of the most
               difficult pages to design.
Resume Page
The Resume page can be devoted to a fairly comprehensive source of your educational
background and work experiences. Done correctly, it may well be the page that could
launch a fruitfull career or business opportunity. Make sure that you make it easy to get in
touch with you without compromising your privacy and security.
Portfolio Page
This page lets you show your stuff. At first, it may seem foolish to post your creations on the
Internet where it can be downloaded and used for purposes that you may not have intended.
Be that as it may, it also serves as an excellent vehicle to get your name recognized. For
example, graphics designers have long given away free stuff (anything from graphics files or
filters to applets and graphics appliactions. This generosity has enabled creative people the
recognition and the free advertising that only the Internet can provide (Think about the dancing
               baby)
Organization Page
Think about posting an organization page where you can show your affiliations.
Membership and the opportunity to cross link with your organizations can only add traffic
               to your site.
Link Page
Linking not only to organizations but to other sites that share your views and
interests also is an important addition to your site. As with the organization page,
this will certainly make it easier for people to find you.
Fun Page
This is an opportunity for you to let your hair down. Make your site more interesting
and "human";. Add spice and show that you still have a life. Its not all about work.
Post pictures about your last vacation. This is the page to put pictures about your pet
dog or cat (or Iguana for that matter). You can share your favorite recipe or newest
               "concoction
Finishing Touches

Ideally you would double-check the following items before you publish your site. But
if you are in a hurry, be sure to check them after a couple of days and make the
               neccessary corrections.
Spell Check.
Spelling errors are the most common found on the Internet, yet they are the most easily fixed. Spelling
errors make your site look unprofessional, sloppy, and will turn visitors away.

Links.
Broken links are all too common. If a link doesn't lead anywhere, you will frustrate your visitors and hurt
your business. Check the validity of your links.
