(5) GILLUM3 ADAMS (Jesse2, Henry1) was born June 14, 1804 in NC and died Aft. 1850 in KY [?]. He married M. ADAMS - nee Bef. 1826 in Smith, TN [?]. M. Adams was born Abt. 1805 in NC and died Aft. 1850.
Notes for GILLUM ADAMS: "G" next to Henry Sr. on the 1850C for Ballard County tax record shows Gillam. Henry and Gillam both headed households in Benton Co, TN on the 1840C and came to Ballard County in 1848-49. Henry was 17 years older and could be Gillam's father but accept GenForum as 2nd & 8th child (not in Henry's household on 1820C). There is a possibility that "Gillam" and "Green" Adams were the same person. In Benton Co, TN we find "Gillum" being taxed 1837-42 but not being enumerated on the 1840C. On the other hand "Green" is NOT taxed except for one property entry in 1842 but IS enumerated on the census. The census would require a little "bending" (1803 vs. born during 1790's) to declare a match but such age enumeration inaccuracies were common well into the present century. On August 20, 1845 "Green" ADAMS married MARY TOWNSELL in Benton County. No Green among children identified by GenForum so pulling him as tentative separate child (still might be a middle name).
Notes for M. ADAMS - nee: B.B. [male 26, TN] & M [female 20, TN] COUNCIL in household on 1850C - could be her son by a prior marriage [& his wife]?
