(3) BRYANT2 ADAMS (HENRY 4) was born 1756 in Three Creeks, VA. and died 1839 in Johnston County, NC. He married [Nancy ?] in 1781 in Johnston Co., NC. She died 1836 in Montgomery Co., AL.

Notes for BRYANT ADAMS:    This was the Bryant Adams I believed of TN / KY. The Revolutionary pension files indicate he was Henry's uncle. Rev. pension files of Bryant & Jesse fit together (both have Franklin Co. NC connection) and Jesse mentioned his brother Bryant. Bryant's pension file (certif. #27634) states he was born in 1756 at a place known as Three Creeks, VA. (county not known) and came to Franklin Co. NC as a young child. He served in the Revolutionary war; married (wife's name not mentioned nor names of most of their children) in 1781. Moved to Montgomery, AL. in 1825 and filed for pension there in 1834. His wife died in 1836 and he returned to NC. living with a son. The last pension payment was July 1839 to WILLIAM B. ADAMS on his behalf (Fayetteville, NC). Per GenForum #2618 (Robert Adams) an estate record in Montgomery Co., AL (1839) names heirs, Washington G, Frances E (a minor), Ashley G. H. (a minor), Julia (minor), and Emily (minor). Due to his age at time of death and lack of mention of known child the estate record probably refers to Bryant Jr. even though death date coincides with pension termination. For Bryant Sr. GenForum #6829 (Patsy Adams Bolt) lists children as Jacob, Allen, Bryant, Green, Hardy, Jesse and Josiah. This is not confirmed but presumed reliable.

Children of Bryant ADAMS and UNKNOWN are:

i.   JACOB3 ADAMS,  b. Johnston Co., NC.

ii.  BRYANT / BRYAN ADAMS.

iii. GREEN ADAMS.

iv. HARDY ADAMS,  d. 1823.

Notes for HARDY ADAMS:  DEATH: GenForum 6829 will in 1823 mentioned wife Ridley & daughter Louisa.

v.  JESSE ADAMS,  d. 1852, AL.

vi. JOSIAH ADAMS.
