Kruder & Dorfmeister

massive night of boogy-ing down to funky dubs, house, reggae, techno and just a bit of drum'n bass. (read: not enough.)

[note: these unprofessionally written reviews were originally posted on a "blog" site and was never intended for this current format. still, i realise, even by those low standards, this is a particularly lame review. now, after a year has past, i'll try to give you a better review.]

when we got there, the place was already packed full. the mc was doing a rather lame job. and he was picking out some hot but dopey looking girls from the crowd to get up on stage and dance with him. it was all rather unprofessional. (you'd think i'd be into that sort of thing.) p. kruder and r. dorfmeister did seperate dj sets, kruder was better. dorfmeister was all wishy washy rubbish. they both finished off by sneaking in some drum'n bass flavours into the mix. personally, i wish they pushed more towards drum'n bass and techno. that's when i felt their set was really together. their down tempo stuff works great on record, but in the club environment, it was lacking in magic. their projected visuals were nice. maybe the most professionally presented thing that night.

they were good, but overall, the night wasn't good value.
