Underworld.

Dubnobasswithmyheadman. 1993.

A new, revitalised Underworld rises from the ashes. And we all rejoice. How utterly brilliant. Granted, by now, some of these sounds do sound a bit dated. "Spoonman", "Surfboy". But some of the tracks on here are still sounding excellent today. "Dirty Epic". Even the oldest sounding "M.E." Good tunes rises beyond the technology.

Second Toughest in the Infants. 1996.

Continuing in their endeavor to blow our minds, Underworld return with an even stronger, deep and melodic, thumping yet comforting epic beauty that is their second album (after reincarnation). From beginning to end, it is practically perfect. If I must find fault in it I may say "Rowla" does not live up to the high standards of the rest of the album.

Beaucoup Fish. 1998.

A more varied affair. More of a collection of songs than the cohesive masterpiece that was the last album. Has some huge tunes that becomes favourites in their live shows. Really, still a very strong album in anybody's language.

Everything, Everything. 2000.

Live album made somewhat redundant by the live dvd version, and their own official website being updated with free downloads of their even more recent concerts.

A Hundred Days Off. 2002.

Their weakest album so far. Still would be a good album in anyone else's back catalogue. But Underworld has set themselves such impossibly high standards, they must falter sometime, and this has been a bit of a mis-step.
