Nicolette.
Let No One Live Rent Free in Your Head. 1996.
Undeniably most famous for featuring on Massive Attack's second album, Nicolette's solo productions are criminally overlooked. This, her second album, should be easier to track down. An eclectic collection of leftfield dance pop with a mild d'nb influence. One wonders why Bjrk finds success while Nicolette, running along similar lines of unique, cute, beautiful, exotic vocals and fascinating beats, fails to set the world alight. Especially seeing as how I find this most fresh and exciting than, say, Bjrk's Post. A hidden gem.
