When learning the news, her mother, Ana Luisa Sing Hurtado, could not hide her happiness. "I'm very happy for her sixth place, but her qualification to the olympic games had been earned since she advanced to the next stage of the championships", she said. "Now awaiting for her is a very difficult year, as she will have to dedicate more intense time to gymnastics and combine it with her studies". Lpez's joyful mother was also aware that it was difficult to get a medal in China. "She has only one vault with a 9.90 difficulty level, while the others have two, that's why it was difficult. However, it will always be a success for her to compete at this level", she finished. |
