Cimarron Sport
Denisse and Sergio go to Culiacn
By Cimarroncito
Good day, dear reader. Here I am again to tell you about the information generated by the Department of Sports and Recreational Activities of the UABC, a group that constantly works on the promotion of health and good use of free time of this city's population and the university community.
The gymnast Denisse Lpez Sing is motivated training for the events to come, like her participation in the 468th anniversary of the city of Culiacn, Sinaloa, and the World Championships (qualifier for the Olympic Games) that will take place in October.
Also invited were the gymnasts from Nuevo Len, Julio and Rafael Garca, as well as Jos Antonio Csar in the men's category. For the females, Brenda Magaa will be going with the cimarron gymnasts.
The most important event for Denisse is the World Championships to take place in Tiajin, China; for which they will leave from Mexico City on the 1st of October. Eduardo Carmona informed that training sessions will take place during 4-7 October; the opening ceremony will be on the 8th and starting from that day until the 16th, the competitions will take place.
In this event, the participants for the 2000 Olympic Games will be defined; but apart from that, the Mexican Olympic Commitee has already aproved the individual participation of Denisse Lpez and Francisco Lpez (Carmona must have said for the World Championships). The Mexican Gymnastics Federation is, however, doing their best to send to Sydney (again, Carmona must have said to the World Championships) full teams for both men and women. We will have the outcome of these negotiations on a later date.
With this, we anticipate a year of full activity for Denisse since, besides her trainings, she has her professional studies, which she considers of great importance. And she's right, this is the basis to contribute to her personal and the country's development. We wish her the best!
...
Until the next time!
