'Anne of Green Gables' (based on the book by Lucy Maud Montgomery) is a very popular story in Japan where Denise Fergusson has performed the role of Marilla in several productions in dramatic and musical Theatre, on TV, and also on Tour.

In Canada she has also appeared in several productions portraying either Anne's foster mother Marilla or Mrs.Lynde.
