Mindfulness-Based
Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a life-changing eight-week program to
restore a sense of balance, control and well being to your life. By
learning new approaches to working with stress, pain, chronic illness
and the challenges of everyday living, you can follow in the footsteps
of the many students before you who have experienced the benefits of
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Some of the reasons that people

Gentle
Yoga and Meditation

Schedule: Mondays, 7:15 - 8:45 p.m. at Davis
Holistic Health Center
This class is a combination of gentle yoga, and mindfulness meditation.
All the meditation and yoga is
mindfulness-based, meaning, bringing gentle awareness to the present
moment. Because the yoga is gentle and restorative, it is appropriate
for all levels of skill, even those with no prior experience. These
classes are particularly beneficial to anyone looking to lower their
stress levels and gain new skills to bring more peace and serenity into
their daily lives. Some say they are highly addictive.

Denise Dempsey
Denise
is affiliated with the Sutter Center
for Integrative Health. A co-founder of the Davis Holistic
Health Center,
she studied under
the direction of Jon
Kabat-Zinn, creator of the
nationally
acclaimed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Program, and finished
two-year training through
the Hakomi Institute of San Francisco.
Denise holds a degree in Human
Development from UC Davis, is an artist, and has practiced yoga and
meditation
for over 30 years.
