Since the development of a Flashover proof BA cylinder cover, which was 2000 now. Manchester Airport was approached to evaluate the cover. Ian Roberts, a Flashover Instructor, trusted Phil and wore the cover upon his back whilst training, giving it the best and worse treatment possible. The cover was met with great feedback but sadly we were unable to carry on further due to Home Office regulations. This was the beginning of a great friendship with both Ian and Phil.

Being impressed with Phil's quality of work, his dedication and his knowledge of both the service and textiles, Ian asked Phil to develop the Soft Baffle Curtain for the Flashover Unit. This has been completed and again, has been met with great results. So much so, when the French fire-fighters came to Manchester Airport to train, Phil made one for them and the French Home Office has approved it there.
With working with Manchester Airport Flashover Instructors we have made many friends across the globe. Phil has had a life time experience. He has been in the flashover unit, even took video footage! In fact to date he has been in the unit a total of 13 burns. We have also gained valuable knowledge and will work to provide the fire-fighters with the best.
Look at the damage to this visor whilst training, the rest of the helmet is untouched due to the helmet hoods worn. We recorded that day a temperature of 652 degrees C, taken at a meter high.
We would like to thank - Ian Roberts; Stephane Morizot; John Taylor and Paul Grimwood It's a real pleasure knowing you guys, you are all great men!
<--New trial helmet hoods as mentioned below.
