| On Sunday April 17, 2005, the Knott County Board Of Education hosted a Motorcycle Ride to benifit The American Cancer Society Relay For Life. The ride was held at Knott County Central High School. 40 plus motorcycles showed up for the fund raising event. It was a beautiful day outside, perfect for riding a motorcycle. Motorcycles starting coming in around 12:00. Motorcycles were registered until 2:00. After prayer was held by Tim Stacy and a request to remember fellow rider, Norman Caudill who had passed away a few days earlier, the motorcycles filed out of the parking lot in single file escorted by the Knott County Sherrif Ray Bolen and his deputies The riders made it back to KCCHS around 4:00. A warm and delicious lunch was waiting for them. After luch, prizes were given away as well as a trophy for the 1st Place and 2nd Place bike. We would like to thank everyone involved with this Motorcycle Ride, especially Tim and Anitra Stacy. There were many businesses who donated prizes, food and many other things. Without their help, this would have never been possible. Also many thanks to the staff of the Knott County Board Of Education who were on hand to help with this event. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
