Octavia was born in May of 1866. She died on October 27, 1933 in Pikeville, Ky. Family rumor for many years suggests
Octavia was a descendent of Cherokee Indian. It is also rumored that she was the illegitimate daughter of Thompson Ratliff and
Abigail White. Octavia died accidentally. Her grandson, Woodrow, drove over her arm with his car. She was rushed to the
Pikeville hospital with a broken arm. During her stay, she contacted pneumonia and died soon after.
Leetha Hannah McPeek
was born on March 1, 1884 in Pike County, Kentucky. She died on March21, 1932 at the Pikeville Hospital from a combination of complications from childbirth and the effects of a heart attack. She married Aldon C. Wilson on January 14,1910. Letha died at the Pikeville hospital in preparation for the birth of her 10th child. Two men were fighting outside her window. The effects shocked her, resulting in a heart attack. She lost the baby and died the same day. When she was buried, the baby was placed at her feet.
