| Welcome everyone to the webpage for Eastern Ky's Number 1 place to race, The Mountain Motor Speedway express. Located on Highway 15 in Isom, Ky. the Mountain Motor Speedway Express offers exciting racing each and every weekend. As the famous voice of Mountain Motor Jerry Banks would say.."The best bumper to bumper and door to door racing action". MMS is a 3/8 mile dirt track that races on a mixture of Friday and Saturday nights, with most of the shows being ran on Friday night most weekends. In conjunction with the Mountain Motor Dragway right beside the dirttrack being ran on alternate nights. They run a weekly schedule of Limited Late Models, Bombers, 4 cylinder modifieds, and the ever racey 4 cylinder stock. Every other weekend or so you can pop ya head in and see the Super Late Models or the Open Wheel modified divisions running. This year the track is owned by Kenny Anderson, who is known for his drag racing but thought he'd try dipping his hand into the dirt field. It's operated by former driver Tony Sturgill. Between those two and a host of other scorers, officials, and track personnel they bring you the best East Ky. has to offer week in and week out. I really hope you guys enjoy this web page. A few things on it will be some pictures, stories, a tribute to "Stormin Norman" Caudill, the years results, a driver profile page for all divisions including the dragstrip, and numerous other things as we go along. | Mountain Motor Speedway first opened its gates in the early 1970's and has been going strong ever since. Numerous famous drivers have made appearances at the 3/8 mile dirt track. over the years. Whether it be high banked, low banked, a flat track or a new surface laid down Isom has never failed to produce strong close racing. MMS has opened its gates to some of the famous and most recongizable names in dirt track racing. Names such as Scott Bloomquist, Freddie Smith, Donnie, Moran, C.J. Rayburn, Delmas Conley, Steve Francis and countless other Hall of famers and future Hall of Famers. MMS has hosted such famous races as the $10,000 to win Mountain Dirt Classic for the late models to the $1,000 to win Bomber Nationals for the bombers. MMS has always been a fan friendly track. Offering Fan Appreciate night on a regular schedule. Through the years MMS has offered "special" races for fans enjoyment as well as the drivers enjoyment. Some of these races have included the figure 8, the backwards race, a reverse race, a lights out race, and a passenger race. They have also built a reputation up for doing the demolition derby and the ever popular "Dash for Cash" in which fans could enter their regular vehicles in a one lap dash for the cash. Another fan favorite at MMS is the Powder Puff in which the ladies get a chance to showcase their talents behind the wheel of a regular race car. So whether it be the guys slinging dirt, or the ladies showcasing their skills theres never been a dull moment at the Mountain Motor Speedway. |

Jamie Hughes and the gang at "Hometown Sports Corner" which airs every Thursday night at 8:00pm on Channel 26 and to Wayne Fugate and the gang at "Dialed In" which airs on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm on WPRG-TV 5 on Intermountain Cable. | This week Tuesday, February 14th, 2006 the Mountain Motor Speedway Driver of the week is Kevin Hall!!! Kevin is the driver of the #43K Limited Late Model. Kevin is a team driver for West Star and owner Dan Richardson. He races beside his teammate Jamie Slone who drives the #19 Limited Late Model and was chosen as "Mountain Motor Speedway's Driver of the Week" earlier. Kevin is from Wayland, Ky. in Floyd County. He is 33 years old and has been racing for several years. Kevin has been married to his wife Krystal Lynn for 11 years. They have 2 children, Alexis Mckenzie and Jacob Ryan Scott. Some of his career highlights include Thunder Ridge Super Bomber Champion in 2000 and 2003. Kevis is sponsored by West Star Industries, Sebco, Mountain Dental, K&E Trucking, and Mobil 1.
