Knitting Lesson #2: Project Selection
A word to the wise about project selection for stitch n’ bitches: do not take lace shawls that you are having problems with to stitch n’ bitches. You will screw them up so badly that you will have to frog back 3 rows of 278 stitches each. You will mangle ssk, k2tog will produce dropped stitches, trying to count stitches will never happen. After 2 hours, you will no longer recognize your project.
Take something that is brainless that you can work on without thinking or looking at what you are doing. Leave the lace at home and take a sock. Socks never fail you. Socks will always love you.
Back to your regularly scheduled knitting:
The second Trekking XXL sock is coming along with much egging me on from the first Trekking sock. I want these socks badly. Sadly, I will not be able to wear these lovely socks until at least September if I’m lucky. Why can’t I wear my lovely handknitted socks only 9 months out of the year?
