Trekking Around Town

The first Trekking XXL sock is done: finished it up on the bus ride home this evening. Here it is posing with my cat Ashly. I have noticed the sock is a bit of a ham and loves to get around. It went with me to the family fireworks show (We blissfully boycotted the Idaho Falls show just to get away from the crowds and the heat.) It’s been out to dinner twice; it’s been to a stitch n’ bitch; it’s been to the bookstore. As always, it’s gone with me to work, making the 1 ½ hour commute back and forth from the Site every day. This is a sock that’s been places and it’s just the first sock of the pair.
I loved working with this yarn; it knitted up very nicely. I love the subtle stripping and the colors. I have one more skein of Trekking XXL in my stash that I will have to save as treat for myself later on in SOS. I have several skeins of Trekking Nature, wool/bamboo blend that I will have to play with later.
OTN Report:
Still the Grape Harbor Shawl from Wendy Knits though the Knitpicks Option Needles have helped me make some progress but this is still a WIP.
My generic sock pattern in Cotton Classic, color 3870. Having run out of yarn, these are going to be on the needles until at least July 18.
My generic sock pattern in Trekking XXL in color 71 to make me feel better.
SOS done: 1 pair, 1, sock, 2 socks on the needles.
