SPANISH PHRASES AND SONGS
   Children learn foreign languages easier when introduced to it at an early age.  Your

children will be introduced to the Spanish language by learning phrases and songs.  We

begin by learning the phrase or song in English and then in spanish.  We then use them

intercahangably throughout the school year.

     Below you will find a list of the phrases and songs we are working on.  I will
add to the list throuhout the year.

1.  We are learning color words: Red: rojo, Blue: zzule, Green: verde, Black: negro, Brown: cafe, White: blanco, Pink: rosado, Purple: morado, Yellow: amarillo, Gray: gris, Orange, anaranjado.

2.  We are learning to count in Spanish: We are up to 30 (Treinte).
uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, diez, once, doce, trece, catorce, quince, diecieseis, diecisiete, dieciocho, diecinueve, veinte, veintiuno, veintidos, veintitres, veinticuatro, veinticinco, veintiseis, veintisiete, veintiocho, veintinueve, treinta.

3. We know the months of the year. January: Enero, February: Febrero, March: Marzo, April: Abril, May: Mayo, June: Junio, July: Julio, August: Agosto, September: Septiembre, October: Octubre, November: Noviembre, December: Diciembre.

4.  We learned a Halloween song in Spanish: "Juan Linternia".

5.  We sing a goodmorning song in Spanish every morning: "Hola".

6.  We are learning the days of the week: Monday: lunes, Tuesday: martes, Wednesday:
mericoles, Thursday: jueves, Friday: viernes, Saturday: sabado, Sunday: somingo

7.  We say our calendar in Spanish including: Yesterday: ayer, Today: hoy, Tomorrow: manana.

8. We greet each other in Spainsh "Good morning , how are you?" Buenos Dias, Como estas?

9. We sing Happy Birthday in Spanish.
