I strive to create a loving and positive classroom setting and learning environment that
promotes high academic achievement, foster high self esteem and guide my students to
develop into self-montitored learners. I believe children learn in a variety of ways and at
different paces. My goal is to develop strategies and learning opportunities to help my
students reach their highest potential. My classroom is busy, utilizing hands on learning
activities. I encourage my students to work together as a team/family. Development of
the whole child is important to me.
My name is Deneen Wolsing and I have been teaching for the Kenton County School
District for 18 years. I have taught in kindergarten, first, second, and third grade classrooms.
Most of my experience is in a first/second grade classroom. I am married and have two
children. Mykaela is ten years old and Alexander (Alex) is now four. I am extremely excited about
the upcoming year. We will once again be very busy. There is so much to learn and experience.
My education includes a Master's Degree in Elementary Education specializing in the
teaching of reading. I obtained my Rank I and National Certification in 2001.
