Judyisms on Spelling

Ok so I'm well known for my ineptitude as a speller. But frankly I don't understand what the big deal is.YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN for christ's sake! Get a dickshunary if you can't read it..:) Of course it may be hard to find the word I'm trying to convey, considering I've been told I don't even spell phonetically, unless I'm deaf as well. Of course this comes from someone who doesn't bother with capitalization, so it matters little to me.

You see, I grew up in Oakland,and have been fighting the Ebonics stigma for 43 years. Wassup wit dat? It's a perfectly normal language to me. Kinda like pig latin with soul.

Besides, why do you think someone invented the spell checker? I think I dated him in High School. I did , really...:) Yeah that's it. I was writing a book, and he said .."Girl you need a spell check!"

Or was that a stop check...I forget.

Spelling is hard when your brain moves faster than your hands. Not that my brain is super fast, it's just my hands like slow, deliberate movements that don't require much thinking. You know what I mean?

Then there's all those big words. Tell me why we need words that can be easily transformed into simple phrases. It's way easier to say "your talking like an idiot" than spell out politely."That was an ambiguous statement" Sure it makes you sound smart, but then they might think I'm a nice person...wouldn't want THAT. hehehehe

Spelling concerns slow down my thought process, and distract from my intention. So if you see me spelling badly, trust me I have other things on my mind.:)

I'm seeing what I'm writing, so concentrate on that instead of my friggin' spelling.

Send all your spelling corrections to my homepage email, cause Geocities hasn't gotten with the times, and installed a spell check. Oh, the stop check they have, damnit. Oh well..can't have everything.

There's a project for all my genius programmer buddies!. Invent an auto speller. You can name it after me...:) A program that follows Judy all over the net correcting my spelling..You'd get rich! Just be sure to give me royalties...:)

For the rest of you, maybe you can find a good dickshunary below to save my pitiful bad spelling soul. Though I respond better to hardware, than software, you can try whatever you think will work.:)
