Kurama and Hiei
Sure...they look cute, but don't be fooled...
Kurama and Hiei are one of the most famous couples in the fanfiction world, which is COMPLEATLY and UTTERLY WRONG! "But Arashi...you are an open minded person that doesn't mind same sex relationships and you said yourself that they are cute...so what's so wrong about them as a couple, especaily since it's only fan fiction, and what does fanfiction matter?" I'll tell you the answers to all that in one simple sentence with further explination afterwards.
IT'S WRONG BECAUSE IT'S DONE OVER SO ANNOYINGLY BAD THAT THE CREATOR OF THE SERIES HIMSELF MADE A PRESS CONFERANCE JUST TO TELL EVERYONE THAT HIEI AND KURAMA ARE ONLY FRIENDS AND ARE IN NO WAY CONSIDERED LOVERS!
Ahem! Anyway...to further explain my explination... Of all the million, disgusting peices of HieiXKurama fan fiction I have seen out there only 1% of them even remotely have Hiei and Kurama's character down correctly. Kurama almost ALWAYS comes off as some sort of slutty person or some sort of bondage freak, and neigther of those are fitting to his personality WHAT SO EVER. Hiei tends to acctualy be somewhat alright or he is made into some whiney little whimp that is beaten into submission by the horrible, fake, Kuramas out there. In that 1% of people that do it correctly out there, I am sorry if you are reading this and this doesn't apply to you, because your works were actually enjoyable enough to read, it's the people that don't know how to properly characterise Kurama and Hiei that RUIN this couple so compleatly that people want to vomit just at the mention of the show YuuYuuHakusho. They make things so terrible that it's almost not worth it to swim through the pile of utter trash that is KXH fanfics, just to find ONE fan fic about a couple like Yuusuke and Keiko or Yukina and Kuwabara! Half the time KXH stuff is ALL you find PERIOD! Give us a break and learn how to properly characterise Hiei and Kurama if you are going to use them in a fan fic as a couple!!! |
