A taste of tropicana

After a quiet New Year's eve, we spent the next day checking out the local waterfalls. The sun was out and we had  a great time contemplating the waterfalls and resting on the rocks by the ocean. We were reminded of our honeymoon in Canada and felt great about the whole trip.
Epilogue

We had taken a plane to the island and reserved a 2nd class ferry for the trip back. On the ferry, we were in a large room with a raised floor which accommodated about 20 people for the night. So we left at 7pm and got in at 7am.

Actually it was pretty cool and we were very happy ($30 for each). Then around 11pm, the heaters start blasting out heat. Forget sleep. I complained once, and they turned it down. So we slept from 12-2am. Then they cranked it up again and wouldn't do a thing. So I spent the morning reading A Tale of Two Cities while Chris slept for 3 hours on the tiny sofa in the lobby.

So with 2hours sleep, I get home at 8am with 2hours to get ready to go to work. Well, since I am a great teacher,I had a good day and even felt like I managed to teach something. But now, I am bagged.

So that was our little vacation. Enjoyed it, but we are glad to be back in our little home.
