| We have chosen traditional paints and papers to retain the period feel of the cottage. In the Victorian age, paints tended to be very chalky and of a matt finish. We have kept this in mind whilst selecting paints. All internal paint colours are from the Farrow and Ball paint charts (www.farrow-ball.co.uk) who produce the paints for National Trust properties in the U.K.. The paints were almost all mixed by Resene using a suitable base. All woodwork is painted using a specially mixed Dulux oil enamel to create a low sheen, hardwearing finish. The wallpaper in the hall is from the Hannafords collection of striped papers. A nightmare to hang, but a beautiful finish. The carpet in the lounge is a Cavalier Bremworth sisal tone, colour mushroom.
