Located just 20km from Queenstown in Otago, South Island, New Zealand. Arrwotown enjoys the excellent facilities of its next door neighbour without the frenetic nature of Queenstowns bungy jumping crowd. Arrowtown is fast becoming the discerning persons Queenstown, offering a slower and more peaceful environment with a selection of award winning restuarants ("Saffron" recently won the Conde Naste 'Best New Restuarant in the World') and cosy bars.
The Arroetown region is a joy to explore as it sports some of the worlds best wine producers (Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are world renowned), fabulous walking trails, a choice of many beautiful golf courses, a choice of excellent ski slopes just a 20 minute drive away, quite roads for cycling, and all the many and varied 'adventure' facilities that Queenstown offers.
Arrowtown itself must be visited to be appreciated. If you haven't been for a while, then now is the time, the town has changed remarkably in recent years, but still retains its community feel and good looks.
