| What will I put on it? |
| It's not fair really. I mean, who would build a wall like this right on someones boundary? It's probably illegal. The rain water from it even used to drain down a stormwater pipe direct into our garden - talk about taking the pxss! It wasn't the current owners fault, he didn't build it. He is a jolly nice chap. Whilst the old sheds were there, it was hidden, and no-one expected it to stick out that badly. But it did. Mark the builder shook his head and exclaimed - "That sticks out like a dogs XXXX" (censored). And so it does. And so the deliberations about what to do with it began. The builder took the matter into his own hands on number of occassions. When we moved the sheds (with the help of a digger), Mark was keen to spur on the digger driver (who was already quite trigger happy with the gas pedal), to remove not only the sheds, but also the wall. Sadly, it remained firm, despite two determined attempts. You can see the digger here. |
| So, realising we were stuck with this monstrosity, and without the assistance of the NZ air corps (all 5 of them), we decided we'd have 'to live with it'. Then the ideas began, the first being to paint on some cricket stumps. The rest are listed for history below. There have been benefits. One. It made a fine vantage for the photograph of the back yard, that you can see here. Well, despite all the thought that went into it, the final result is as you see it above, which the new owners seems to have been kind enough to 'look past' when choosing this fine property.
