"Frenchy" Has Arrived
The long awaited moment has finally arrived. On Saturday, September 13th Patti & I went to Connecticut to pick up our smart car. (Note: smart is the name of the manufacturer but they don't capitalize the "S" in smart) This is a smart, fortwo (model), passion (version). Fortwo means it's made for two people.

Anyway... that's it up there, sitting in the driveway. It's really small, but you can't miss it because it's SCREAMING yellow. So far it's been really fun. People smile and wave and one lady on the highway took our picture. People want to ask all sorts of questions about it while waiting for a light to change.

Just for fun... I parked next to a Hummer at the grocery store (below). I decided to call her (Patti says him) Frenchy because smart cars are made in Hambauch, France.

Frenchy looks tiny on the outside, but feels much bigger inside. She sits up high so you get a real good view of the road. I actually look down on many other drivers much the same way I used to when I drove my minivan years ago. I had to adjust the seat forward a couple clicks, just so I could reach the pedals.

Well, that's all for now... I haven't put gas into it yet, so I have no idea what sort of milage I'm going to get. I'll let you know more about that later.
