| Oh Lord Jesus Christ our God, ageless Word of God the Father, by thy grace you had inspired in the soul of thy glorious martyr Demetrius the cou-rage to suffer patiently in his earthen body the violent tortures, ordered by the tyranns, for thy name, we pray to thee: enforce us to stand out the tempations, the result of our sins, and all the threats of devil. And as you had canceled all the thoughts and actions of the enemies through thy martyr, you had gladdened the angelic hosts, so now through his intersessions, gladden our souls and deliver us of the bitter tyranny of the enemy, as like to live our life peacefull.
