| Kerry boarding SUV's he doesn't own! A Demout Report, July 25, 2004 |

| Here at Demout we sometimes stumble accross interesting pictures that we like to point out. This is one of them. Here's what the AP has to say about this picture: Democrat presidential candidate John Kerry, D-Mass., front, and Sen. John Glenn, D-Ohio, climb down the stairs of Kerry's campaign plane in Boston Sunday, July 25, 2004. Now... isn't this the same Kerry who, on Earth Day, tried to tell us that he didn't actually own any SUV's... his family did? Isn't this the same eco-terrorist Kerry who constantly demands environmental laws be forced on others, yet refuses to allow the same laws (windmills) be placed in his own back yard? The anti-SUV John Kerry... riding around in his campaign pair of SUV's. Big ones too. Kerry tried to insist that he doesn't own an SUV. When asked about a Chevrolet Suburban that is kept at the Heinz Kerry house in Idaho, Kerry said, "The family has it. I don't have it." Apparently, his campaign also owns an SUV or two. Or three. Or four. O'k, maybe a small fleet. Let's see... A 1995 Suburban (15 mpg highway, 12 mpg city), a 1993 Land Rover Defender (12 mpg highway, 10 mpg city), a 1989 Jeep Cherokee (20 mpg highway, 16 mpg city), and a 1994 Jeep Cherokee (20 mpg highway, 15 mpg city). But of course, these belong to John Kerry's family... not to John Kerry himself. Looks like Kerry doesn't care very much about 'rising gas prices' that he's tried to have be a major subject in his campaign. |
