What's more important to Kerry and Edwards than national security?
How about $7.5 million?
A Demout Report, July 11, 2004.
On the abusively liberal CCN, Kerry was asked by Larry King:  "Let's get to, first thing's first, news of the day.  Tom Ridge warned today about al Qaeda plans of a large-scale attack on the United States, didn't increase the -- do you see any politics in this?  What's your reaction?"

Kerry's Reponse:  "Well, I haven't been briefed yet, Larry.  They have offered to brief me;
I just haven't had time.  But all Americans are united in our efforts to defeat terrorism."

So... Kerry has been offered, by the Bush Administration, to be briefed on threats of terrorism... and has not had the time to be briefed?  What could possibly be more important Senator?  What could be more important, than our national security, in times of troubles in a post-9/11 world?

$7.5 million, and some x-rated jokes, that's what.

Shortly after this interview with Larry King, both John Kerry and John Edwards attended a Democrat fundraising event, hosted by has-been actors, who threw x-rated jokes at Bush.  Whoopi Goldberg delivered some rant full of sexual innuendoes against President Bush, comparing his name to certain female body parts.

This 'fund-raiser' was held at Radio City.  The Kerry campaign has not released the video of this event, and it's likely that they won't.  John Leguizamo said he refuses to believe there are any Hispanic Republicans, claiming that's an "oxymoron," because "Latins for Republicans - it's like roaches for Raid."  Has-been Chevy Chase said the President is dumb as "an egg-timer".  John Mellencamp sang a song that called the President "just another cheap thug" and the "Texas bambino."

Kerry could be seen laughing during the event, especially during Goldberg's tirade, and Kerry and Edwards never said a single objection during their talks with the crowd, even concerning Goldberg's little vulgar presentation.  They said of how much they enjoyed it.  Edwards said it was "a great honor" to be there,  and that "This campaign will be a celebration of real American values."

This is a new low for the Democrats.

Never before, that I know of, has there been such a show of disrespect and disgrace coming not just from a group of has-been entertainers, but from the Presidential candidate himself.

I guess being given $7.5 million is a good show of "American values", right Mr. Kerry (who, if he wins Presidency, will be the third richest President in history, according to Forbes) and Mr. Edwards (a trial lawyer)?

Forget national security, right guys?  It's lining your pockets that counts!
