SANDY
BERGERLER
The one man that took out the Kerry Campaign... inadvertanly.
A Demout Report, July 21, 2004
"Last year, when I was in the archives reviewing documents, I made an honest mistake," said Berger recently concerning the classified 9/11 hearing documents he shoved in his socks, pants, shirt and briefcase before walking off with them.  "It's one that I deeply regret."

Sandy Berger recently retired as an Informal Adviser to John Kerry, in Kerry's campaign.  This is not suprising, since the former National Security Adviser of the Clinton Administration was caught stealing classified documents from the 9/11 hearings.  Now the Kerry campaign is under frantic damage-control.  This is worse than the Dean Scream, or the Dukakis army tank.

"I think the problem here is Sandy Berger is a close adviser to John Kerry and there's a certain discipline you have to have in this business... We're all political animals... we're all trying to get a leg up on the other guy," said Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif, told Fox News.  "Obviously, he's violated that discipline."

Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., said the Kerry campaign needs to 'come forward' about any information that they may have concerning national security.

"I don't know what happened to these documents after they were put in Mr. Berger's pants, but it's been reported in the press that these documents related to homeland security and our airports and seaports and it's very interesting to note that those are two areas where Sen. Kerry has been critical of the Homeland Security Department," Chambliss said.

The question is, what was Berger trying to hide?  And what is the Kerry camp still trying to hide?  After all, the man shoved these documents in his socks, pants, and shirt.  Someone who, at one point, handled documents like this for a living and who was never caught sneaking them away in this manner, suddenly trying to steal documents from the 9/11 hearing.  "What information could be so embarassing that a man with decades of experience in handling classified documents would risk being caught pilfering our nation's most sensitive secrets?" House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R- Ill, said.

So what does the Kerry camp have to say about all of this?  Would they apologize for supporting someone who tried to sneak away with documents pertaining to the events of 9/11?

In a paranoid-like manner, the Kerry camp pointed its' finger at Vice President Cheney, in a letter titled 'CHENY STRIKES BACK???'

In the letter, they accuse Cheny and Ed Gillespie for meeting with Senate Republicans at their weekly lunch on Tuesday (NOTE: The Berger story broke Monday).  After the 'lunch', the Kerry camp accuses the Senators for attacking them on the subject of Sandy Berger.  "Were they infact at the lunch? What happened at the lunch?  What was it that Cheney and Gillespie said?"  states the letter.

A little paranoid, aren't we?  Quite franky, it's sad.  First the libs want to politicize September 11th, now they're trying to hide the facts that they themselves have been caught stealing classified documents concerning September 11th.  Instead of trying to get to the source of this, trying to see how they can help bring these documents back to the 9/11 hearings and restore national security, they decide to point an accusing finger at the Bush Administration and other Republicans, clearly trying to focus blame away from themselves.

That sounds like the actions of someone who is guilty of a crime, knows it, and is trying to advert attention away from themselves, isn't it?

It seems the Kerry camp has much to hide.
