I will need to obtain written references from four people:
I can substitute
with someone who has been a recipient of my personal life and ministry. The reference
form is a Microsoft Word file. The reference forms should be returned directly
to Cristian Associates International (CAI) from the individual
filling it out. CAI's preference is to have these also returned to them in the
Word format via e-mail, but if that’s not possible for someone, you can
request that CAI's office send them a printed version for you to fill out by
hand and mail in. Reading:
Prior to Staff Canditates Orientation
program (SCO), all candidates are required to read The High-Impact Church by Linus Morris and A New Kind of Christian by Brian McLaren. Both books are
available at Amazon.com.
The only other place that The High-Impact Church is available is direct from CAI. Housing:
CAI will arrange for me to stay with
one of their "host families." The name, address, and phone number of
my host family will be provided to me approximately two weeks prior to SCO.
Their host families normally expect candidates from Friday night (if attending
the Intro to CAI) or Saturday night until Thursday afternoon. If I need to stay
Thursday night as well, that can be arranged. Transportation: I need your help and it is my responsibility for arranging my own transportation to the orientation (and to have a car available during my stay). I must fly in early for the Staff Canditates Orientation program, the closest airports are Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Burbank. If my plan is to fly out on Thursday, I must book my flight for 7:00 pm or later, so that I can stay for the whole orientation. Approximately two weeks prior to SCO, They will send me maps and directions for where I’ll need to be during the week. |
